When someone sees the same people every day, as had happened with him at the seminary, they wind up becoming a part of that person's life. And then they want the person to change. If someone isn't what others want them to be, the others become angry. Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own.

I am what whoever of us can be, if you listen to your heart. One who stares in wonder at the mistery which is life, who is open to miracles. Only that the other one, for fear of letting down, didn't let me act.
Yes. When I understood it, I woke up sure to be what I had always wanted to be. The other one stayed there, in my room, looking at me, but I never let him back in, even if he sometimes tried to scare me, warning me against the risks of not thinking about the future.
But from the moment I kicked him out of my life, the divine energy operated its miracles.

The most important meetings have already been combined by souls before the bodies are even created. Usually, they happen when we reach a limit, when we need to die and be reborn emotionally. Meetings await us, but most of the time we avoid them happening. If we're desperate, instead, if we have nothing left to lose or we're quite enthusiastic about life, then the unknown occurs and our universe changes tack. (from "11 minutes")
