The theory is when we know how things work but they don't work. The practice one is when the things work but we don't know why. We have joined the theory and the practice: Now the things don't work anymore and we don't know why!
Towards the end of life, much the same happens as at the end of a masked ball when the masks are removed. We now see who those really were with whom we had come in contact during the course of our life.

And then you spend your last 9 months floating in luxurious spa-like conditions with central heating and room service on tap, larger quarters every day and then Voila! You finish off as an orgasm!
