A crab noticed that a lot of little fishes, rather than venturing in the river, they preferred to go prudent around to a rock.
The water was limpid as the air, and the fish swam quietly enjoying the shadow and the sun. The crab waited for the night, and when he was sure that nobody would have seen him, he went to hide under the rock. From that hiding place, as a bogey from its lair, he spied on the little fishes, and when they passed near him, he caught them and he ate them. "It's not nice what you are making"; the rock grumbled "You take advantage of me in order to kill these poor innocents". The crab didn't even listen. He kept on capturing the little fishes happy and cheerful, finding them delicious.
But a day, suddenly, came the flood. The river swelled and with great power invested the rock, that rolled in the bed of the river, crushing the crab that was underneath.
